Restoring Biblical Literacy to the Church

The bible's description of the church as the pillar and ground of the truth carries with it a divine charge. The church must hold the line for truth whenever and wherever it comes under the attack of the enemy. The church is charged to defend it, preserve it, proclaim it, and, last but not least, to live it. The church should be the very personification of truth within the community.

Unfortunately, biblical doctrine has been abandoned for the eloquence of spiritual philosophy.

“The time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine.” (2 Tim. 4:3)

The spiritual climate of the church world today lacks conviction for living a dedicated life to God and His righteousness; right and wrong is purely subjective; worship has been replaced with entertainment; and the shepherd (or pastor) has become the hosting celebrity.

Conclusion: The church still has a form of godliness but has all but denied its power - 2 Timothy 3:5.

Point of Life is founded upon the Word of God, and firmly committed to the equipping of its members with strong, biblical literacy.

Ephesians 4:11-13

Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. (12) Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. (13) This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.
