I am Known - God knows My Real Mistakes (Week 2)

This week in Real Talk, kids will learn that God knows their real mistakes. In Genesis 11:1-9, people made plans to build a large tower to make a name for themselves and avoid being scattered throughout the earth. This went against God’s command to fill the earth (Genesis 9). God saw their real mistakes and stepped in because He knew what was best for them. God knows our real mistakes too. He stepped in for us by sending His Son, Jesus, so we could experience forgiveness and a relationship with Him.

Hold a tower-building contest with your kids. Use pillows, blankets, couch cushions, and other soft items. See how high you can build your tower and how much fun you can have knocking it down. Talk about how God stepped in and stopped the people from building their tower because He loved them. Then talk about how you can see God’s love by how He stepped in and sent Jesus to forgive sins.
